Status: Monsterball
Good morning, last night for this term’s last day of school, I came to its Halloween "Monsterball" and had a lot of fun. There was a disco in the hall, there were many games, a raffle, spooky stalls, costumes and many more. I was wearing a big inflatable Diplodocus costume, but I also like to think it’s a Brontosaurus or something. Here’s my poster I’ve doodled up for it. I’ve also bought two old figures of a Tyrannosaurus and a Triceratops from a stall, and two nice books. Little Devils by Australian zoologist Steve Parish and teacher Rebecca Johnson is a little story about two Tasmanian devil cubs whose gnarly nature to each other is a nuisance to the other Australian wildlife around, until a well-known, non-native predator arrives and they do something helpful. Tusk the Mighty Mammoth from Adam Blade’s Beast Quest series is a novel that I have yet to read, but is of course about the quest to defeat an evil mammoth ruling the fantastical forest of Gorgonia, where she has captured the good beasts. It sort of relates to me. I would love to read both of these stories at bedtime to my friends and family soon.
