Cool Cretaceous Chorus

Some doodles I did a week ago of two dinosaurs found in the Late Cretaceous Arctic, Pachyrhinosaurus and Edmontosaurus, vocalising, with reference from Luis Rey’s illustrations from The Big Golden Book of Dinosaurs, which I recently got as a late Christmas gift. Something interesting I’ve illustrated with the pachyrhinosaur is based on the mysterious size and structure of the huge nostrils of ceratopsians, which some have even gone as far to theorise as supporting inflatable display structures. Caribou today have similarly big puffy noses for warmth against the Arctic chill, so I speculated that this was the same for the Arctic Pachyrhinosaurus’s nose, as well as being used to amplify their cool loud grunts and bellows (as heard in Prehistoric Planet, and also influenced by the book I was referencing from).
